Distant Island: Designed to take full advantage of the pristine views along the river, this custom home is comfortable living  at its best. Pergolas and ponds were built into the landscape to unite the home and garage/guest suite. Ipe wood used on the front porch will reduce future upkeep. Re-claimed structural timbers cut into flooring allows the living room with raised hearth brick fireplace to seamlessly open to an expansive beamed kitchen with custom cabinetry, bar and countertops; continuing to the dining and sitting areas. Pickled cypress paneled walls and bookcases add warmth to the library which looks out over the water. Upstairs, between the bedrooms, a window seat was created, big enough for a quiet afternoon nap. Open decks and screened porches lead to an in-ground pool creating an at-home vacation retreat.

St Helena Island: This custom built home was awarded The 2015 Light House Award for Best Overall New Home. This new home was constructed for Robert and Lydia Mondavi and has been showcased on the Mondavi Home Collection website and in South, Atlanta Homes and Robb Report Home & Style magazines. Rob and Lydia Mondavi wanted to incorporate their love of the wine country with the LowCountry style. Allen Patterson Residential combined design excellence with quality workmanship to craft a home to meet the exacting standards of the Mondavi family. Together, we incorporated numerous specialty designed products, including reclaimed wine barrels into the home to make a home that would be uniquely Mondavi.

Historic Beaufort: Construction in the historic Point section of Beaufort created a unique challenges for Allen Patterson Residential, requiring this house to blend seamlessly with the vintage homes surrounding it. Every step in the building process was approved by the very strict Historic Review Board. Old brick was used on the façade along with period shutters and vents. A carriage house/ garage with built in barbecue complements the exterior. On the interior, an elegant floating staircase welcomes guests. One of the most beautiful accents is the marble backsplash in the cooking area with niches for condiments, utensils or display which personalize this area for the owners.

Beaufort: This residence was built in the footprint of the previous home that was struck by lightning. The house was demolished and new plans were drawn within the confines of the original footprint. During the demolition, Allen Patterson Residential diligently salvaged most of the original cabinets, bookcases, and some of the interior trim to re-use in the new home. What could not be salvaged was painstakingly crafted by our own trim crew to seamlessly blend the old and the new. The 4321 square foot, four bedroom home integrates the elegance of the traditional homes in the historic Point and the comfort of a classic Southern home.

Bull Point: Nestled peacefully back from the road, with views of Huspah Creek, the exterior of this home was constructed using both vertical and horizontal boards and a red metal roof, in the classic Southern style.  Old brick was used on the steps and foundation peeks to add to the old world charm.  The highlight of the home has to be the gorgeous reclaimed heart pine floors, painstakingly saved from the Old Crow Distillery in Kentucky.  These blend beautifully with the homeowners antiques. Other outstanding features include the living room with a vaulted beamed ceiling and fireplace, accented by a wood beam mantel.  For the custom kitchen, Allen Patterson Residental crafted beadboard panels, custom cabinets, hardwood floors and beamed ceiling.  The tile work in the bathrooms was expertly finished to complement  the recycled floors.
